A Day Late

Normally I try and post every Sunday but since yesterday was our 1-year anniversary I was slightly occupied
:) We had a wonderful day but I'll get to that later! Sooo Friday at work seemed extremely long... I think just because I was anticipating the weekend so much. After work Friday, I got Scooter (my parents dog because they were out of town all weekend in MD) and went home. Joel and I had a nice relaxing night because I knew it would be a busy weekend.  So Saturday morning I went and did some shopping first because I felt the need for some new clothes. Then I met up with Kristen and her friend Laura and we went and got our nails done, which was definitely needed! After that, Kristen and I went and grabbed some lunch with the adorable Isaiah (This just made me so much more anxious to know if we are having a boy or a girl). Then it was time to get to Tiffany's shower. It was a lot of fun and definitely entertaining to say the least. So after a loong Saturday, and a tired day for my wallet :p, I went home to my wonderful hubby to relax for busy day #2. Oh and Joel gave me my anniversary gift a day early, well technically it was almost 12 so... But he gave me a beautiful watch with diamonds all around the face, which I want to wear so badly but he has to get some links taken out of it first, and an amazing baby book which I have already began filling out :)

So Sunday we got up early and lounged around for a little bit. Then when I finally stopped being lazy I got dressed and we went and grabbed some Chili's for lunch, courtesy of the gift card my parents gave us for our anniversary :) After that we went and looked at our house, which was painted on Friday and I am absolutely in love with the color. It looks so home-y and we're both extremely happy with the way it came out! We got to walk through it which is always exciting when anything new has been done. I'm so ready to be able to move in! Then we went back home and decided we would start doing some packing after the excitement of seeing the house. We filled all of the boxes we had, pretty much just with our movies sadly, and relaxed a little bit before our night out.  Joel and I had our first date... ever, at The Surf. So Joel thought it was only right that we went there for our first anniversary dinner :) So I got a yummy lobster dinner and of course Joel stuck to his chicken. The meal was delicious and Chels was working so we got to see her too! Then we went to the movies to see Red Riding Hood. It was amazing! I really didn't know what to expect but they did a great job with it. After a tiring day, we went home and ate a slice of our wedding cake... we were both a little skeptical of a year old cake but it actually still tasted pretty good so thank you Publix :p And that was the end of our weekend!
Oh, on a side note, yesterday also marked 16 weeks in the pregnancy so it was just an exciting day all around!

So now I'm sitting here typing this when I should be getting ready for work.  Tomorrow I have another doctors appointment in the morning, I would think they get sick of seeing the same patients over and over... I get to give more blood, joy.
I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

Happy Sunday

The past couple of days have not been the most fun. I woke up Thursday feeling a little off from my usual self but of course just pegged it as morning sickness and went to work.  A few kids were out because a couple of different things have been going around but I didn't think anything of it.  Thursday night was a leftover pizza night (it was delicious by the way!) and alllllll of Thursday night/Friday morning I was up, just about every hour on the hour getting sick.  At these point I was completely set on the fact that my child does not like pizza and that I would not eat it again for the remainder of this pregnancy! So Friday morning I woke up to get ready for work and felt absolutely miserable, my body was weak, my chest hurt, the nausea was still there, and I was freezing.  For some reason I still had it in my head that it was just morning sickness.  Anyways, as the work day went on, I realized I was being a little bit oblivious considering we were down to a little over half our class size at the start of the day and some kids were coming and going as the day went on, (in our class and other classes).  Joel took me to lunch because he is wonderful and was determined to get some food in my stomach and I decided on chick-fil-a because I have learned that this is an all American child and that's what I seem to be able to handle best for the most part. I ate about half of my meal and couldn't do any more. Got back to work and there went that half of my meal :( So I was just about done for the day. I got home and had another night hanging out with my friend the toilet. All day yesterday I laid on the couch. And I have woken up this morning to feel (for the most part) so much better.  I still feel a little weak/sore but Joel said that's probably just from getting sick so much. So since I'm sure anyone reading this is so thrilled that this whole post has been about me being/getting sick I'm moving on!

Well first of all today is Krista (our niece's) 3rd birthday party. And I'm so happy to be feeling better because we haven't been able to make it to her 1st or 2nd, so I'm pretty sure missing this 3rd would officially deny us any Uncle/Aunt rights :p So at 2:00 we will be heading out to that! There's nothing like a little one's birthday party!!
Today is also the start of me being 15 weeks!!  15 weeks isn't really any major milestone that I know of, it's just always exciting when I can open up my BabyBump app on my phone and see that I'm one week further and have one week less to go.  Speaking of the "BabyBump" app, I find it mildly amusing that every week when it gives a size comparison of our baby, it always compares the baby to fruit.  This week apparently it is the size of a navel orange... last week it was the size of a lemon (apparently these fruits vary in size by .6 inches if you were interested :p) Just a little useless knowledge. So this was a pretty boring post I suppose but now I'm going to see if I can either convince someone to pick me up some breakfast since my hubby is still sleeping and he has already done so much for me for the past couple of days, or I will call up Fernandeli and get them to deliver!

I hope everyone has an amazing Sunday!
